My design style has three core tenets:

Functionality: Is your house working for you? There should be a place for your things and the house should function beautifully with the flow of your daily routines.

Classic Style: Style wise, your house should be a beautiful backdrop to the life you want. My design style leans classic and timeless, with light and bright rooms, coordinated fixed elements, and personality in the furnishings, wall color or wallpaper, artwork, collections, etc.

Sustainability: My classic style is complementary to sustainability. I always prefer sustainable items, whether that means green items or reusing decor, buying antique or vintage pieces, because they can add depth, character, and a story to a room. I’d also love to see Alaskans build houses that are not so trendy that they need renovating every 10 years. Designing a classic home with durable, well coordinated, timeless finishes, is a remedy to the renovation cycle.
