5. Perkup Espresso

Keeping Perkup in the family! When Perkup Espresso founders, Richard & Becky Gerondale, announced they were ready to retire after 20 years in business, their daughter Kari Corbin stepped up and made the decision to buy the business and carry on their legacy. Kari has been very involved in the business throughout the years as the accountant and business manager. Recently, she’s taken on more of a hands-on management role. This has made the transition as seamless as possible even during a time of COVID challenges and economic uncertainty.

Kari is excited to carry on the Perkup legacy and build upon the amazing reputation her parents have garnered since opening their first location on Potter & C in 2001. Her goals are very team-oriented and she is grateful to have such an amazing team of managers and employees that help make Perkup what it is today. She is committed to building trust and loyalty with customers, vendors, and staff alike by continuing to adhere to the H.E.A.R.T values that have guided the business thus far. One of her top priorities is to give back and continue supporting local community organizations like schools and youth sports teams.
