It all began with Anthony Delmonaco, a native of Gioia Sannitica, Italy, who arrived in the United States in 1965. Starting on Grand Avenue in New Haven, his dedication and leadership transformed a single store into 13 locations in just 15 years. With an eye for hospitality and a heart for his customers, Anthony opened his first restaurant in Guilford in 1978. That success led to the launch of Anthony’s Ocean View Fine Catering in New Haven in 1986 and a second location in Meriden in 1990. By 1995, he had sold the other restaurants to focus solely on Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven, a venue that quickly became a local landmark.
In time, Anthony’s children—Natalie, Marcello, Caterina, and Fabio—joined him and his wife, Anna, in building the business into one of Connecticut’s most renowned wedding and event venues. Their loyal team, many of whom have been part of the company for over two decades, is truly part of the extended Delmonaco family.
Known for excellence, Anthony’s Ocean View is deeply rooted in the community. Through the years, the Delmonaco family has actively supported charitable organizations, provided aid to local families in need, and donated time and resources to causes they care deeply about. Garden Catering has been delivering crispy, crave-worthy comfort food since 1978, when Lou Iandoli first opened the doors on Sound Beach Avenue in Greenwich, Connecticut.
