Sharums has been proudly serving the community for 75 years, continuing a legacy of excellence passed down through generations.
In 1938, L.A. Sharum established Sharums Greenhouse just east of Fort Smith on what is now Rogers Avenue. As the business flourished, Gene and Mildred Sharum took the helm, furthering the commitment to hard work and top-quality products.
Their son, Frank, has dedicated his life to the landscape and nursery industry. In 1979, he founded Frank Sharum Landscape Design, Inc., which has grown into the largest landscape and design company in the bi-state area.
In 2002, Sharums Garden Center opened at 10000 US-71 South, spanning over nine acres with nearly 80,000 square feet of greenhouse space—making it the largest garden center in Arkansas. In 2005, Sharums expanded further with a new location in Springdale, AR, to better serve customers in Northwest Arkansas, Northeast Oklahoma, and Southern Missouri.
