We are a full service interior design firm that operates out of Flagstaff, AZ. But our area of service is boundless! We have clients in Phoenix, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Martha’s Vineyard, and beyond!
We want you to know that purposeful design is within your reach. A space with purpose can transform everyday living into a lifestyle. It can influence and improve your life, and can elevate your experiences.
This is the new face of interior design. No heavy draperies and over-priced baubles. We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel of design. We’re here to bring out the best of your spaces, nook by nook, room by room. We achieve this by encouraging you to think about spaces in a new way.
We also specialize in green design (eco friendly design). This just means that we have retailers and manufacturers that we can use on your project that utilize USA made, sustainable, or recycled materials that will last you a lifetime. We also love to use antique/vintage items when appropriate.
As a professionally trained artist, I view living spaces as a three dimensional form of art. I love working in natural materials. I try to emphasize their physical properties in my art while balancing the whole of the composition. Applying these principals within a space is my favourite challenge. I believe strongly that technology can enrich and simplify our lives, especially when integrated seamlessly with the design of our homes. I earned a BFA in Painting and Art history from Tyler School of Art in 2012. Interior design has always been a focus of mine and an important part of my art practice. I am passionate about vintage furniture, all things Scandinavian, solid wood construction, and subtle details. When I’m not re-arranging my own home, I love to challenge myself with cooking, playing the saxophone, wood working, and watching jeopardy with Amy and our two crazy dogs.
Designing spaces with purpose to enhance the human experience is why I became a designer. With my 10+ years of professional experience in both commercial and residential design, and a BS in Interior Design, I have rounded out my knowledge and bring a deeper understanding of project management, programming, and design development to every project. Designing remotely for clients has become somewhat of a specialty for me, and I really enjoy the challenge! What fuels my creativity is organizing the details of a project and coming up with fresh perspectives that work for each client. I believe work and play don’t have to be separate if done right! I am originally from Arizona, but moved to Philadelphia for 6 years and then came back to the mountains of Flagstaff. Traveling, hiking, estate sale exploring, gardening, and drinking wine with Chad and our dogs are just a few of my favourite things.

Maggie Colletti- Owner Senior Designer
Growing up, interior design was always around me, my mother owned furniture stores in New Mexico and Arizona. I was always helping her with projects. Having a love for the arts, I enrolled in The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where I found a love for everything theatre, including set design. After graduating, I moved back to Scottsdale from LA to join Apropos Interiors and Design in Scottsdale, AZ as a partner. In 2009, it was time to venture off to express my own vision. This was the creation of IDB Interior Design. I currently split my time between Flagstaff and Scottsdale, Arizona and maintain jobs in both areas. As a small business owner, wife, and mother of two, the best feeling in the world is walking into my home. Every day when I step through my front door I breathe a sigh of relief. (Happy Oasis of Memories and Emotions). I believe you should surround yourself with things that make you and your family feel good and happy. My passion for interior design is reflected in the beautiful, fun, and unique surroundings that my trustworthy clients have allowed my art to shine through.
Walking into your home at the end of the day, taking a deep breath, and smiling. You LOVE your home. This is what I want each of my clients to feel.
About coming home, about crawling into your crisp, white hotel sheets at the end of the day. The gentle light that creeps through the sheers at the window.
That you can live in your very own dream home and let me help you get there, on time, in YOUR budget, and in love with your space.

Arizona Handmade Gallery has been representing Arizona artists in downtown Flagstaff for over twenty years. In 2010, husband and wife George Avebeck and Holly Gramm bought the gallery and combined it with George’s glass blowing studio, Fire on the Mountain. It became both a showroom for George’s glass art and some of the best artists across the state.
We like to think of this space as more than just an art gallery—it’s a tribute to timeless craftsmanship. Our mission is to preserve the ancient tradition of creating fine art and handmade crafts. By offering our master artisans a mindful and ethical marketplace, we give their work a meaningful platform to be seen, appreciated, and shared. Every piece you find here has been personally crafted and touched by the artist’s own hands, carrying with it a story, a soul, and a legacy.
