1. Full-service Interior Design
Schedule a quick phone call to discuss your design project. We will chat about your goals and see if we vibe well! Afterwards, you can choose to invite us for a complimentary in-person design consultation where we talk all things budget, design dilemmas, interior design aesthetic, wants and needs so that we can create a customized design proposal.
2. Virtual Design or Design Consultation
Virtual design or an in-person design consultation is a lower-investment alternative approach if you don’t want to fully commit to full-service Colorado Springs interior design services. If you are interested in a quick, affordable, hands-on experience, this package is for you! You provide us with your room dimensions, photos, and have a quick chat with us or fill out our questionnaire so that we can get a good feel for your style and needs. A custom, virtual design plan with shoppable links tailored to your wants/needs/budget will be delivered in less than 2 weeks.
3. Staging
After years of making houses look ideal for individuals, Storia Interiors & Design has developed an eye for what attracts a broad audience. We offer staging packages for occupied and unoccupied homes, and our record of success is a trail of full-price offers, under contract within days.

Platte Furniture has been a trusted name in quality used furniture since 1978. What started as a small garage operation by owner Dick Kelly has grown into Colorado’s largest used furniture store, with over 36,000 square feet of showroom space.
We specialize in distinctive, hard-to-find furniture, offering a wide selection that ranges from antiques to modern styles. Whether you’re looking for everyday pieces or something unique—contemporary, vintage, primitive, retro, industrial, shabby chic, Danish modern, Western, or beyond—we have something for every taste.
Our furniture is sourced from model homes, overstock closeouts, estates, auctions, and private homes. As one of the few companies that buy outright and offer pickup services (when scheduling allows), we ensure a constantly refreshed inventory of incredible finds. If you’re interested in selling furniture, we appreciate items being brought to the store but ask that you send us a picture first so we can assess our interest.

Items We Want / Don’t Want
Thank you for using our online form! At this time we are interested in buying or consigning nice, clean furniture and household items that are in good condition. We buy and consign anything from antiques to modern. We are generally not interested in buying older Floral Pattern Living Room Sets, Used Mattress Sets, Large Oak Wall Units, German Shrunks, Older Bedroom Pier Units, most Appliances and broken or damaged Items. If you are not sure if we would be interested, please send us pictures and we are happy to let you know.
2. Consignment
Consignment Services
Platte Furniture Consignment Policy:
- Revenue Split: We offer a 50/50 consignment split, meaning you receive 50% of the final sale price.
- Pricing Adjustments: The price of consigned items is reduced by 5% every two weeks to encourage sales.
- Review at 90 Days: After three months, we will contact you to discuss whether to further discount the item, extend the consignment period for two additional months, or arrange for its return.
- End of Consignment Period: If the item remains unsold after five months, you will have the option to pick it up within 7 days or allow us to donate or dispose of it. Items not picked up within this timeframe will automatically be donated.
- Payment: Payouts are issued monthly or after all items have sold, based on your preference. Checks can be picked up in-store or mailed upon request.
- Condition & Acceptance: We accept gently used, high-quality furniture that is clean, structurally sound, and free of damage, odors, or excessive wear. Our team reserves the right to decline any item based on condition or market demand.
- Liability Disclaimer: While we take great care in displaying and handling your items, Platte Furniture is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage that may occur while the item is on consignment.
- Early Pick-Up Fee: If removed early, the consignor pays a 20% fee based on the original listing price (with a $75 minimum).
