About Life Bowls

Life Bowls was born from a sun-soaked obsession. Founders Justin and Jon first discovered the vibrant magic of açaí bowls while living in Southern California in the mid-2000s. Whether they were hiking, surfing, or rock climbing, these nutrient-packed, Brazilian-inspired bowls became their go-to fuel—and even sparked a friendly debate over how to pronounce “açaí.”

Years later, back home on the East Coast, their nostalgia for those refreshing purple bowls inspired a bold idea. On a sunny afternoon in Madison, CT, they realized that the kind of health-focused eats they loved out west were hard to find locally. So, they teamed up to bring those flavors back to life.

Life Bowls started with a humble food truck that offered customers a delicious way to dine healthfully. Its success paved the way for the first brick-and-mortar location in Madison, where colorful açaí creations continue to serve up sunshine in every bite. Though the food truck still exists, the heart of Life Bowls now lives in its cozy storefront—still driven by the same passion that sparked it all.

Each bowl starts with a blend of açaí, berries, banana, and almond milk, topped with fresh fruits, granola, and drizzles of honey.

• Nutty: Peanut butter, banana, cacao nibs, granola
• Very Berry: Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
• Kiwi’s Playhouse: Kiwi, chia seeds, tropical fruits
• Maui Wowie: Pineapple, goji berries, matcha granola
• Green Monstah: Spinach, kale, apple juice base with apple and sunflower seeds

- Pitaya Bowls

Made with dragon fruit (pitaya), these bowls are tropical and refreshing.
