I founded Shayla Copas Interiors in 1997 with a simple philosophy: Your home should be the most treasured space in your life. It’s where you unwind, raise your family, nurture your soul, and retreat when you need rest.

Your home should feel harmonious, gracious, and quintessentially you.

That guiding philosophy has blossomed from interior design into a multi-pronged lifestyle brand that has allowed me to share my keen design eye and approachable luxury aesthetic with clients across the U.S., around the globe and in my hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas. Whether I’m designing vibrant textiles or infusing a space with a twinge of my signature Southern Glam, my clients’ needs drive every project. My team and I are well known for our honesty and reliability—we will always be respectful of your time, budget, and unique style.

As a Southern girl (pass the sweet tea pitcher, please!), my sense of hospitality makes my clients feel immediately at ease. They trust me to elevate their visions into professionally polished spaces that still feel deeply personal. Through my team’s in-depth, client-centered intake process, we uncover the preferences, moods, and memories that will guide every project detail.

A World Beyond Interiors

My design work has long been inspired by my global travels, so in 2022 I launched Shayla Copas Travel to offer my clients Virtuoso curated luxury journeys around the world.

I travel the way I design—by seeking out what’s alluring and authentic, colorful and comforting, and always throwing in a dash of the delightfully unexpected. Clients work with me to craft custom itineraries full of cultural immersion, or they join me on hosted group journeys where I take them on a tour of the places and spaces that fill my own creative cup.

After 20+ years in interiors and events, career highlights include designing two inaugural balls for Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, publishing Four Seasons of Entertaining and watching the book become a best seller in several Amazon categories, being featured in numerous national household magazines, earning the Designer of the Year Award, being named the 2017 Philanthropist of the Year Award by the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas, and partnering with product lines to make it even easier to bring a touch of “Shayla style” into your home.

a. Residential Interior Design

It’s time to fall in love with your home. From initial consultation and concept development to final installation, my team and I will execute every detail of your project, making it a stress-free and enjoyable experience from start to finish. We handle projects of all sizes, from entire homes to single room makeovers, providing budget and project management, furniture, finish and fabric selections, procurement and delivery, and all the finishing touches.

b. Commercial Interior Design

Bring a bold touch of laid-back luxe to your office, retail, or hospitality interior. We offer full-service commercial design services that provide innovative design, on budget and on time. Through a streamlined process, my team and I will brainstorm and implement solutions that turn the ordinary into the extraordinary, because where you work should be just as special as where you play.

c. Virtual Interior Design (E-Design)

For Do-It-Yourselfers, our services include a virtual option or “design a la carte.” This is a simple and convenient service that is ideal if you are seeking a designer’s expertise and professional guidance, but feel capable of implementing the plan on your own. Using your photos and measurements, my team and I will put together your desired look, refined with my creative eye. Whether you’re looking to re-do a single room or your entire home, we’ll provide the necessary tools for carrying out the project and guide you through each step of the process.

d. Outdoor Living Design

Bring your lust for living outdoors, as we give your outdoor space the designer treatment to transform it into a personal oasis. From space planning to furniture selection, we offer comprehensive outdoor design for residential or commercial patios, exterior living rooms, back yards, or pool decks—everything from quiet family retreats to lavish entertaining venues. My team and I believe that defining outdoor spaces with color, textures, furnishings, and textiles is a must, and we’ll apply our knowledge of performance or outdoor durable constructions, materials, fabrics, and features so you can enjoy your space for years to come.

e. Event and Hospitality Design

Awe your guests with a sophisticated-yet-fun soiree where no designer detail is overlooked. I have over 25 years of experience designing and planning stylish and memorable events that eliminate the stress of entertaining for gracious hosts.

My team and I combine strategic planning with imaginative thinking to create intimate parties, luxurious fundraisers, and extraordinary galas with thousands of guests—like those attending the 2015 & 2019 Arkansas Inaugural Balls. Leave every detail to us, including your invitations, menu, color schemes, lighting, furnishings, table settings, floral arrangements, and party favors.

f. Product Design

As a savvy trendsetter, I’m proud that my aesthetic and expertise are sought out by leaders in the home and décor industries. Commercial and manufacturing entities can look to me for product consultation and design on colors, motifs, textures, or manufacturing processes. My design sensibilities for home decor—including accessories, furniture, artwork, lighting and textiles—result in show-stopping products delivered through mutually beneficial collaborations.

My product design ideas spring from a love of entertaining and my livable luxury aesthetic. Colorful and bold, with charming details and a distinct Southern Glam allure, Shayla Copas COLLECTIONS can include everything to add the perfect finishing touches to a home.

g. Showroom Design

Each year, I have the opportunity to travel to dozens of trade markets where commercial entities and manufacturers present their latest products to their clients and design customers. After visiting hundreds of showrooms annually, I have the experience and design expertise to offer my services in the planning and creation of literally “Show-Stopping” showroom designs.

h. Houseboat & Yacht Design

In 2008, we purchased our first houseboat on Lake Ouachita—and I quickly became enamored with the marine world and boat design. Since then, my team and I have perfected the steps it takes to renovate a boat from the beginning until setting sail.

Our meticulous process takes into account the complexity of marine design and renovation. We spearhead renovations of all sizes and can handle the many phases of the project, from concept and design to project management and installation.
