With a rich background boasting over 14 years in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry, Chef Josh brings a wealth of expertise in diverse cuisines and culinary techniques. His dream of bringing people together around the dinner table became a reality with the establishment of The Local Caterer.

Originally from Wisconsin, Chef Josh found his home in Arizona in 2007. It was here that he not only discovered his love for the culinary arts but also met his future wife, Kasandra. In 2018, they exchanged vows, welcoming a daughter and then a son into their lives. As a family, the Bakkens are actively engaged in their community, notably at Paloma, where their commitment extends beyond the kitchen.

Chef Josh's impact isn't confined to catering exquisite meals. His compassionate heart led to the initiation of a remarkable free lunch program for underprivileged children, a testament to his belief in nourishing both bodies and spirits.
