Playa Bowls started with just two blenders, a patio table, and a fridge, and has grown into a vibrant brand with over 300 locations nationwide. Founded by Jersey Shore natives and longtime surfers Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, our mission is to inspire healthy, sustainable living in the communities we serve.
Their surf inspired Rob and Abby’s travels to Panama, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and beyond, where they discovered flavorful acai and pitaya bowls in each tropical town. They brought these flavors home and added their twist, launching their first pop-up outside a pizza shop in Belmar, NJ.
Their dedication to storytelling and nutrition drew crowds and built momentum. Now, over a decade later, Playa Bowls stands as a celebration of surf culture, superfoods, and the journey from humble beginnings to nationwide impact.

Established in 1935 in Stamford, Connecticut, Colony Grill has built a legacy around one unforgettable offering: a thin-crust pizza topped with our legendary “hot oil.” What began as a post-Prohibition tavern in an Irish immigrant neighborhood quickly evolved into a beloved institution serving up simple pleasures and big flavor.
