Edible Arrangement and Gathering
Established in the late 1960s by Fairfield’s own Luigi Giansanti, Luigi’s Restaurant began as a humble pizza palace with a passion for authentic flavor. In 1975, the Cavalli family took the reins, and just a year later, Giulio Cavalli journeyed from Ripi, Italy to join the family business and infuse it with the traditions of his homeland.
After a fire in 1978, Giulio and his brother Gianni rebuilt Luigi’s—installing the largest rotating pizza oven in town, which still fires up pizzas to perfection today. A self-taught chef inspired by the home cooking of his mother, Giulio brings love and integrity to every dish, believing that quality comes only from using the freshest ingredients.
Now a beloved local fixture, Luigi’s continues to serve classic Italian fare, delicious family-style meals, and what many call the best pizza in Fairfield. Giulio, a devoted father and longtime resident, leads a close-knit team that treats every guest like family. With a welcoming atmosphere and generations of loyal customers, Luigi’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a home for Italian tradition and community warmth.
