HECK Design Works specializes in projects where creating an experience through design is allowed to blossom into reality. For design inspiration Heck draws on his research, life experiences, his study abroad in central Europe and travels throughout the United States. His approach to design is to glean information from the user and visualize a space as he tests architectural designs against this information, resulting in a architecture that enhances the users experience.
HECK Design Works is a culmination of the 20+ years of the architectural design experience of Paul Heck.
A native of central Arkansas, Heck has worked as a designer and project Architect in small, medium and large design firms in both Oklahoma and Arkansas. His experience is vast having worked on commercial and residential building types as well as master planning large mixed-use developments.
Paul is an Architect Fayetteville AR but works all over as a Northwest AR architect and beyond. He resides in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife Amy, their three boys Jackson, Walker and Chance and adopted canine Bella. He is a follower of Jesus, attends New Heights Church, loves the outdoors and spending time with his family.

HECK designWorks is a full service architectural practice. We take each project seriously and approach the responsible and inspired practice of architecture with a strong commitment to realizing your goals in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. We understand that a successful design grows out of discovering where a project’s unique opportunities allow for the creation of lasting quality – functionally and aesthetically.
Whether you have a small project or a large one, we take each professional challenge seriously and are committed to sustainable design as the application of solid design principles. Sustainability is wholistic in the approach of a design, nth just adding bells and whistles to a project. It starts with sensitively engaging a projects site and its relation to the natural world and continues throughout the design. Much of sustainability to us shows forth as “common sense” design.
